Ready, Set, Go to Surgery!

Being prepared for surgery means good planning, communication and anticipation of potential complications. In this lecture presented by Andrea Sundholm, DVM, DACVS-SA, we will focus on the preoperative work that goes into specific surgical cases such as fracture repair, C-section, liver biopsy and foreign body retrieval. We will review recommended bloodwork, imaging, clipping and surgical prep. Example anesthetic protocols as well as special considerations for brachycephalic breeds will be shared.This talk is specifically RACE-approved for 1 DVM or Technician CE credit.
