This talk by DoveLewis Criticalist Ladan Mohammad-Zadeh, DVM, DACVECC, will focus on the importance of electrolyte monitoring in the emergent patient, how to recognize a critical value and how it relates to the patient’s clinical status. Urgent treatment of electrolyte disturbances will be discussed along with long term management as it relates to certain diseases. The talk will focus mainly on sodium, calcium and potassium.This talk is specifically RACE-approved for 1 DVM or 1 Technician CE credit.
